Well what a surprise this little kit was. It is probably only the second ever kit I've built that has no filler on it. Not bad for a 1979 mould.

After this little 1:32 Matchbox, I think I could be persuaded to build more cars, but they would have to be classics.

That’s looks great....really clean finish that belays it’s size. A modern range of cars from this era would be more than welcome I’m sure.

Colin,
a real beauty! It's a pity that these classics go for silly money, I was lucky in getting my Auto-Union for a good price, but a quick scan on ebay for Matchbox Classic, or Airfix Vintage shows their scarcity. There must be a market for these models - I'd have thought one maker would see the gap! ( c'mon ICM )

Hi Colin
What a cracking result. Like Tim I'm more impressed given it's small size.

Scarce they indeed are. I've been having a look around, and nothing but silly prices.

given it's small size
1:32 in aircraft world is huge. However, in car world, it's a nice workable size. I could definitely try a few more of these.

There are a couple of Aston Martin Ulster’s on EBay at the moment starting at 15, might be worth watching? I nearly bought an MG TC for 15 the other day, so Bargains are around......others are silly money though.....

Simply beautiful Colin , superbly built ,painted and skilfully photographed . It’s quality belies it’s small scale , it looks more like a 1/8 Pocher kit than 1/32 ! Cheers tony

Not just the superb build I have to praise, which puts my all-black number to shame, but your photography is excellent. Indeed, you've made your build look a much larger scale
Oh, and if anyone thinks Ebay prices for these, and the Pyro sportsters, are daft, I've sold the empty boxes of the ones I've built on there! Which does mean I can buy the others kits...

Very nice — if you hadn’t mentioned it’s a 1:32 scale Matchbox kit, I doubt I would have realised it’s that small.

I think you were. I've had a look at them and quite fancy one.
Aston Martin Ulster’s on EBay at the moment starting at 15, might be worth watching
I will, an Aston Martin would fit the bill nicely.
skilfully photographed
Photography - it's a dark art taught at Hogwarts, sometimes, I get lucky.
I've sold the empty boxes of the ones I've built on there
I put this one in the recycling. Hang on, it's still there.
I doubt I would have realised it’s that small
Small, but it's about the size of a mobile phone, a decent little size for a car. Can you tell these old Matchbox kits have impressed me ?
And thanks for joining in
And thank you for the GB. I do like an old Matchbox.

Beautifully done Colin, sorry for the late comment...eyes have been glued to my 1/700 scale build.

Cheers,
Richard
