Well, after several disasters, here it is at last:

Paints are Mr Hobby Aqueous, finished with Galeria Matt. I didn't do much weathering, just a black wash on the radiator and a bit of pigment around the exhausets and the cannons, but it doesn't show up on the photos. I used masks for the camo, from TopNotch, picked up at the Milton Keynes show. Not sure I'd bother again for splinter camo. Used tape for the canopy, which was... interesting.
This is an excellent kit, highly recommended. No real fit issues, it would have gone together really easily if I hadn't kept breaking bits! Came out alright though, I think.
Thanks for watching.
Pete

Great results there Pete. Camo looks really sharp, and the whole belies it’s small scale. As to breaking bits off, I don think I’ve ever built anything without dropping it at least once…..

Pete,

That's turned out beautifully. Very well done indeed!

They're actually quite a big plane judging by your hand.

Nice work Pete!!! Glad you fixed up some steps and remembered the antenna. It's always one thing or the other we break off or forget to add. I guess you weren't going to chance attaching a wire for the antenna. I don't blame you as it could mean more busted stuff. Love the finish, the canopy came out tops and the bombs are excellent too Sir!!!

Thanks for the kind comments folks.

Andrew, yes, it was pretty big, 13.8 metre wingspan, 11 metres long. A Spitfire Mk IX was 11.23 m X 9.46m.

Allen, you're exactly right, I might have tried adding an aerial wire but didn't want to push my luck after having to repair the mast twice!

By the way, if you hold the model just right, you can see though the bomb aiming window to the canopy!

Can't see much, the pilot gets in the way.

Great finish Pete. I also like the Camo one of these days I’ll have to build one of these.
