Here is the shipping forecast for today the 9th August 2018.

The Met. Office has issued the following gale warning at 06.00 GMT.....

"Viking, Fortes, Nth. Utsire, South Utsire. Gale Force 8. Occasional Strong Gale Force 9 in the next 24hrs. That is the end of the gale warning."

"Mr. Stayns, rough weather ahead me thinks, get hold of Roger the Cabin Boy and get things lashed down and also best stash the duster. we don't want that getting ripped to shreds, it's brand new!"

Thus the Ross Jackal heads out into the North Atlantic heading for the Arctic......Will she make it?

You can almost smell the fish - or has my tomcat been up to his tricks again and brought me a pressie I haven't found? Either way, another great piece of work.

Cheers everyone. I'm chuffed the trawler passes muster.

Jim - The sky is painted on a large piece of card. I used acrylics with a huge flat headed brush for the application. This 'false' sky is very handy when the sun is too bright and I have to retreat indoors to take any photos.

Thanks again for all your excellent posts.
Ron
