This is completed as XT-L, a code associated with Basil Gerald 'Stapme' Stapleton. There is a potted biography of this remarkable man here.

This is XT-L, with Stapme at the controls, returning from a fruitless patrol, sometime in October 1940.

The kit is OOB with some minor adjustments. The pilot is recycled from another aircraft and is from Belgian company P J Productions. The stand? It's just an off cut of 3mm aluminium scrounged from one of the places where I work (the police probably have another word for it) and a bit of clear acrylic rod. It probably cost me about 50p.

The BoB didn't end for months yet, so I might try and find something else that fits...before November :smiling3:

Cheers

I believe the word is appropriated. And you have company... as I also have an assortment of various aluminum cutoff and scrap that has fallen into my possession over the years. Very realistic approach in your display of the finished aircraft. well done Steve.

Splendid result Steve. I like the in flight mode, aircraft always look better up in the air.

Oh, as well.
scrounged from one of the places where I work
I 'collect' small bits of lead. Confession done, I feel better.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments.

I'm planning a second build, though it will be 'inspired by the Battle of Britain' as technically its only and self evidently unsuccessful operation against Britain falls just outside the official Battle period.

I've found a kit at a reasonable price, just waiting for Mr Postie to deliver :smiling3:
