Correct paint for german gearboxs?

On the bum, sorry!
Can anybody point me to the right paint for tranmissions steering etc on ------ yes a Stug!

I think it should be grey/green?? Lot of debate on the web with one person saying this but another saying different??

Some say vallejo 71 015, but it might be too dark, my tiny brain hurts lol

Your right Bob - a lot of debate. I am off to bed now but I will try and come back with some info tomorrow but you will probably find you can do what you like within reason ie blue grey, green grey, grey green, elfenbein, ec etc

Here's the link for the Panzer interior colours. HERE

I am sure they will be the same for a Stug but I will keep checking just in case

Also bear in mind this was 2004 reference material. I know Bovington have done more studies on the outside of the Panzers but I'm not sure about the inside.

I'll get back to you if I find any more details

Hi Bob

I have dropboxed over too you extensive pictures in full colour of a Stug III Ausf G refurbed museum piece. This one has Elfenbein, red oxide and blue/grey transmission. They are copyrighted so please dont show them on the forum or anywhere else. Hope it helps
