its gone all a bit pete tong

the forks have injection gate points half way down, so of course when you remove them from the sprue you remove some of the chrome.......so i decided to mask off the lowest bit to keep the chrome, sand off the chrome on the upper bits (gets rid of a parting line too) and respray with humbrol chrome.....worked a treat..........fitted the forks to the frame and damaged the yellow paint,....so i masked up and touched up the yellow......just got a tiny bit of overspray and whilst cleaning that up i damaged the humbrol chrome!!! aarrrghh!!

im just going to have to live with it

wheels on, zorst on, seat on

It seems like everything I touch goes a bit pear shaped in one way or another Paul.......... But I'm getting really good at covering up my screw ups.

That is looking sweet ............. I guess I need to get a wriggle on with mine.

looking good so far, I like the colour, sometimes chrome and yellow lose each other but it doesn't seem the the case here.

You're a brave man Paul, I tried to fit brake lines and the likes but i failed. I'm going to say they're in the frame so you can't see them if asked lol. Great job though matey.

Have fun, John

in the past ive tried all sorts of things for the cables, such as fishing line, jewelry wire (which if you get the right gauge is great for 1/24 cars). this is a dead usb lead that i stripped for the internal wires

Some great progress here, still think that yellow is smart

cables seem to be the puzzler for many people, you obviously do as I do and think a bit outside the box

The dead computer cable is your friend:smiling3: :smiling3:
