Here are a few tips for use with cyno adhesives-
You dont need to buy expensive zap-a-gap products,next time you need to bridge a gap before filling do this,apply medium cyno adhesive then throw baking powder onto the cyno,you get a small puff as the powder reacts,now you can fill the join with Squadron putty,this way the joint is structural and does not rely solely on the filler and will never part company.
However do not forget that there is no excuse to not get a good joint,try and jigsaw material closely together first,before applying adhesive even when using these techniques that are possible with cyno adhesives.
Keep cyno adhesive and kicker products at least a metre away from each other when not in use,even closed bottles can give off fumes which hardens cyno in the bottle in close proximity,if you see both products stored in model shops close together then tell the proprieter,he may not know but wondering why his cyno is going off quickly ?
Cyno is corrosive to plastic,that is why it turns white after a short while on the surface,never use on clear plastic either such as canopies.
Invest in a set of special plastic nozzles from specialist cyno suppliers who usually go to the shows etc,if these block up you can press the tip and clear the solid blockage.These special nozzles have the advantage of being much finer for careful application especially in restricted areas.
Cyno has a poor shelf life,do not purchase too much at one time,better to buy smaller bottles,it lasts for ages anyway and is very economical,and light as well.
