Da Vinci clock by Academy

sorry for dark pics

this was great fun to put together

its not quite what i expected as it will only run for a couple of minutes but it i guess as its an 'educational model' its just to show proof of concept

you get two choices of gearing, which you have to choose as you put it together.....i went for 60 revolutions of the small pointer equals 1 rev of the big pointer......the other option was 4 revs small equals 1 rev of big, which would have looked better when it was in motion but since this will just sit on a shelf 'looking pretty' i went for the big cog of the slower speed

Hi Paul
That looks great. Never seen one before. Didn't know such a thing as a da Vinci clock existed.

Very nice Paul, and something refreshingly different too.
Nice one.

Looks fantastic paul , great to see something different. As for it only running for a few minutes you need a longer string on the weight , id guess about forty foot , so all you need to do is put it on top of a forty foot pole and bobs your uncle , itll run all day , of course you wont be able to see it:smiling5: cheers tony
