Thanks fernando , superb pics and very useful to anyone whos got a dc3 or ac 47 in the stash ( guess whos got a 1/48 ac47 !!?) A beautiful aircraft and obviously well looked after and loved by her crew , cheers tony

Nothing like the sound of big radials! Now that our P2Vs have been replaced with BAE146s I'm afraid it will be a long time before I hear the rumble of twin 3350s again.

Very nice!

Considering how many of these were made, how long they've been in service and how many theatres of war they've served in, there don't appear to be many model versions available. Now that we're seeing lots of big aircraft in 1/32, what about one of these? I saw a mock-up of one at a model show a couple of years ago (may even have been 1/24 scale!) but I've not seen anything since.
