This was a build with many firsts: first submarine, first 1/350 figures and first seascape.
In general I'm quite happy with the finish, some things could be better, but lessons learned.
One thing I'm not happy with is that there appeared some cracks in the oil paint whitecaps.
It occured after three or four coats of Humbrol clear coat, but it is strange because the whitecaps themselves weren't clearcoated because they needed to remain matte. Maybe some of the solvents in the clear reacted with the dried oil paint?

Hi Wouter
That is stunning. The water is perfect especially the flow off the boat.

Wow Wouter,

You've really taken to water like a fish. Sub is beautiful and the seascape really makes the total package a winner. Excellent work Sir!!!

Excellent Wouter, The U-boat and the seascape compliment each other well meaning it fits ....scale wise, color, effects and action. Don't worry about the cracks which can be filled easily with Gesso mixed with white.

I just watched Greyhound and it just reminds me of it though this looks like a lone wolf.:smiling4:

Cheers,
Richard

As one who knows nothing of ships, subs or dios I must say that looks great, for your first sub and first sea dio it shows off your skills perfectly, well done.

Andy.
