I could however see a large flying Midge side view in your superb back ground control the first page lower left !
453 .

453 - You had me puzzled for a bit, old lad, then I finally spotted just what you had seen. First class observation from your cell window. Don't fall off the chair when you try and get back down, there's a good chap!... :face-with-head-bandage:

Thanks too for the great posts chaps..... :thumb2:

I could fiddle with this all day and night but I'm happy enough with it to leave well alone. The nitpickers could have a field day for sure, but I'm chuffed to have finally plucked up the courage to at least have a stab at this type of camo. The subsequent weathering will help hide the errors!

In a strange way it was fun to do, but at the same time I'm glad to see the back of it!

Vallejo Model Air Acrylics, tap water thinned and applied with a No. 6 fine point brush.

I've sharpened up the colour edges, so here's the final pictures of the digital camouflage. The job was bit of ball ache to paint, but the turret was an absolute pig!

Next up I'll add the wheels, then the bits n' bobs.

Cheers.

570, I luv the way the turret sort of melts into the upper hull structure... Nice disappearing act!

That's some finish 570, never mind what anyone from the planet of nits say.
Great method, and the results say it all, can't wait until the wheels are on .

Wow , specsavers are going to love you ron , cause the next time you go im sure your prescription will have changed!!:nerd::nerd: Absolutely stunning result mate and total proof of the concept - it disguises the shape and outline completely , very effective in a real life scenario I imagine.
I cant pick any nits ( that shampoo you gave me worked a treat ) it looks perfect to me

Great comments and fun posts. Terrific, thank you!

Here are the random painted wheels. I just used a dark blue grey for the tyres and the three camo. colours for the wheels.

I've also stuck on the turret gun and the lifting bits.

Like the mix of colours on the wheels really sets it off.

Thanks chaps.
Bits and bobs going on next. A couple of decals and then I can get it all mucky and dusty!

Thanks again.

Cheers Paul. Great post. Thank you.

I've finally finished the construction, painting and adding the decals. It was a struggle at times. The painting won't stand up to close scrutiny, but I'm happy enough to have had a stab at it. I've stuck things on that shouldn't be on and left off bits that should. The painting was my main target, not build accuracy.
Next I will get down and get dirty!
But for now.....

There you go.
Thanks for all the encouraging comments along the way. On occasions they were the only incentive to keep me at it!

I'll post up some pictures over in 'Armour Completed' when it's all mucked up and really finished.

Thanks again.

Ron,
Stop knocking yourself over the painting, it looks great. And once 453 has finished with his noughts and crosses.......
Brilliant job.
Cheers, Mike.
