Used magic tracks for first time along with VMS slow dry glue, did not leave long enough on first side but other side left for 30 mins plus and the glue is excellent, tracks very flexible after 45 mins! They are not conected yet, hence the loose fit!

Not fitting the rack on the engine deck, will use on another StuG, used all the kit PE and after the great advice worked so much better.

Will for the first time spray black primer on the StuG including wheels/tyres. Then paint the wheels seperatly

Hope its looking the business??

Added the skirts rails but typical Dragon plans are terrible, no location shown for the skirt attachments fitted
to the fenders!!

Added tools etc, having to think how to bend/ shape the metal wire supplied for the tow cables?

Waiting for some 1 35 chain to arrive

A update, almost ready for paint!

Added some of the metal skirts, bit of fun as well, normal Dragon confusion lol

On the plans the skirts are 1/1, so cut out the single plans and used on the skirts as a template to add the hanging brackets, although not totally accurate! Will only fit 3 as most were ripped off or badly damaged, did a bit of bending.

Do the rabble think they look ok???

Cheers bob

95% ready for the wet stuff

Fixed the magic tracks with CA, bit of a experiment next.

Going to prime everything with mr surfacer black, using the black at the same time for the tyres, hope it will save time painting the tyres on there own

Not really. The tracks were supposed to be fairly tight, but being dead tracks they would sag rather more than live tracks like on, say, a Sherman. However, too much sag and the vehicle would be likely to lose a track on cornering too sharp, so crews would not want them to be too slack — even if modellers often do :smiling3: This looks pretty good to me.
