Great stuff to see another Lightning model. I made the same version some years back and regretted selling the thing.

Have you thought of using sticky backed alloy foil for the nose ring ! You can then really polish it up.

Very nicely built! Why do these older jets look so much nicer then the new typhoons etc?

Beautiful job Ian, I think Airfix have certainly captured the shape and power of the Lightning. Nice to see a grey one. Cheers Derek

Thanks for the nice words everyone. Andyrobs I wouldn't say quickly the lightning and A10 have been in the background for a while they have just been finished quite close together. I do like to have a couple on the go together so when things are drying iv'e other things to do

Great job. I like to see someone doing a nice job on an Airfix. Does the kit also have a natural metal finish option ?

She's a beauty Ian, very nice work. The detail looks pretty good for an oldish kit.

Regards

Chris

Cant believe I missed this one. Whats more to say its a Lightning.

Great Build Ian. I have this in my stash as well and will be getting built later in the year.

Never thought much of the all over grey paint job but you have done a great jog of it. Five stars from me...

A great looking Lightning Ian. Love the tail sitting pic, and seeing the thrust on these things bet it could lift off like that LOL.
