That's cool, reminds me of the Japanese kit I had of a Temple, great fun to build and something different.

Great fun dave i bet you all enjoyed that. Of course to make it more realistic it needs JR with his box of matches , in fact thats got me wondering, can he account for his whereabouts the night Notre Dame went up in flames?!

We did discuss if we should set fire to it once we finished, but decided as it is Foamboard, it was probably better not to, will try and do some more later today after Christmas’s Dinner and drinks.

Hi Dave, I really like this, I looked closely at the box art and could not see a scale reference. Is it to any particular scale? Also, I'm wondering if Revell makes other puzzles like this. I'm particularly interested in the Cologne Cathedral. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, Rick H.

Merry Christmas!

They do a range of buildings that can be found on Revell.de. No scale is given. They do Cologne Cathedral but it is smaller than Notre Dame and half the pieces and a third of the price. Looking at the website I think Notre Dame is the first Masterpiece model they do.

Did some more work this afternoon on it, it is really a model rather than a puzzle. It is mainly tabs and slots but some bits are self adhesive such as transparencies for the windows. There is a lot of complexity and multiple layers in places to give the depth in windows etc.

Ok further progress this morning, one side now finished. The other side and the spire still to do. Having great fun as a family activity.
