Where does everyone get their foam boards from, need to build a building facade and a bit of a street, they sell it in hobbycraft, but it has plastic backing to it and i want the high density foam (blue ? ), dont know if i read/heard somewhere you can get it from DIY stores ?

You can buy a similar blue board in many thicknesses (3mm to 25mm )from tiling shops but it has a tough cement-like coating on it.
I've used it for tiling and its brilliant. I think it's quite expensive but you may be able to get off cuts

If I may join in Steve, if your going to buy foam board get Kappa Line sold through as Neil has quoted. Dearer than the rest but the face paper peels off easily and the cell structure of the board itself is superior to the cheaper types.
