After hitting a small paint issue with the Scania and being at a loose end awaiting a delivery I just had to open the box.

And when the box is open there is no point in putting it all back in, so.....

I have since de-chromed the wheels, bumpers and mirrors just to keep busy but will be back on the Scania tomorrow.

While waiting for glue to set I just had to have a fiddle with the pickup, so I assembled the engine.

Not a lot of detail in this kit, and not a lot of parts either but it is a cheapie and will be used for me to practice on and hopefully gain some weathering skills. I also did a bit on the chassis.

I am off now to look at even more videos to try and pick up some weathering knowledge but most of them are either military or aircraft, not much about civilian vehicles travelling on dirt roads.
