The best way Allyne is hot water (hot enough for your hands) and straighten it that way, while you're holding it straight put it in cold water so it keeps it that way. And do this before the top part goe's on, i didn't you see lol (oops).

Have fun, John

Just the one photo tonight, this is how far i've got to. The camo has been started and not looking to bad, i just sprayed the lot in gray first just to get something on the plastic. The airbrush is coming out to finish the under side and the mottling and i can't wait lol.

Have fun, John

Thanks lads well, my airbrush got some nice caressing and did a great job on the D-9. I love Vallejo, it airbrush's so good. Allyne mate, the first gray is Hycote Bumper & Vinyl Paint "Dark Grey", it doen't show in the photos but it had a slight violet to it so i cheated and left it at that. Vallejo German Cam. Dark Green and Vallejo Pale Greyblue for the undersides and sides.

Have fun, John

The mottle looks really good, subtle as it should be. I have just had an email confirming mine has been dispatched, I ordered it over the Easter weekend, I knew it would be delayed. Still, should be here for this coming weekend and it looks as though I have some catching up to do.

That is looking very nice indeed. Tony's right, you're so far ahead of the game you'll have to do another one !

Nice Paint work there John!

I notice that you have opted to paint it with out the canopy in place, (or did you do the blue tac trick). I wouldn't fancy trying to match that up.
