Gotta give it to these guys. They are keping history alive, much better than just reading stuff from books, this brings it to life. Im off to a local re-enactment event in Sept, should be good, not been to one before :smiling:

Although hidden a bit by the rangefinder, this shows a different style soft cap. Also of some interest is the Mortar and, lower right, a gas mask.

A nice relaxed scene but good insignia. The lady actually had her real baby in the 'pram' and it looked sooo comfortable and sweet lol

Also, for equipment painting etc, go to At the Front - Home

they sell original and reproduction field gear, allied and axis to reenactors like us, and can be invaluable as a painting aid, especially for some of the german camo patterns.
