Hi Guys

I am following Peter'sexcellent wrok with my own painting of the Germanic bust. As normal I will be using oil over an acrylic base.

Here is the result of today's efforts:

Looking forward to seeing how the oils bring your bust to life. Off to a great start

Hi Guys

Here is my latest update. Looks a bit like a zombie until the eyes are done, but it is getting there (slowly)

Looking very good Peter. You've managed to make him look especially blond.

Not a lot of modellign this week - nice weather to stuff in the garden and on the house.

On a non-modelling theme I decided to try my hand at some gluten-fee profiterols.

Bit oof a disaster- not so much profiteroles, more profiter-flats !!!

Ah the problems with Gluten free baking, had my share of abject failures from bread that turned into the most perfect piza base to semi flat what today is known as cup cakes. Have now invested in some g/f baking powder to see if any improvement can be made . Seems rice flour is often
called for in addition to the normal flours. If modelling was like this I'd have given up years ago .

I was distracted by a little sculpting - the Eastern Princess and another Vc winner which is with Peter for painting, but /i have found time to finish my version of this bust. Here he is:

Hi Peter
Very nicely done. The metal work is particularly good.
Gluten free bread is virtually impossible. After all it is the gluten that gives bread it's structure.

Hi Jim

The metal is a mix of lots of Vallejo metal colours

Gluten free cooking is a challenge but sometimes it works, especially if the recipe includes xantham gum

Here is my GF ginger cake
