Hello all,

My contribution to this GB will be a Tamiya 1/35 Universal Carrier, along with some Dragon paratrooper figures.

I've been meaning to build one of these for a long time, and had saved some reference photos provided by Simon to help with painting and detailing.

I started two of the figures a very long time ago, so I'll be continuing with these, and creating a small scene displaying them and the carrier.

Thanks,
Greg

I'm in too Greg,

I have a Bren half finished sitting in a box for almost 20 years, so this will be interesting to see how you do yours...

Hi Greg, I'm number 7 in the crowd that's sure to build up. Nice little kit the Carrier...have one just waiting to be put in a dio too.

Cheers,
Richard

Thank you all. Started this yesterday, and it's started coming together very quickly. I've left the front section off for ease of painting the driver's compartment. Next step will be some sanding and then priming.

Some weathering done; looking a bit more muddy and well used now. I'll be kitbashing the included crew figures and one of the paratroopers I have to make him sit in the gunners position, and will be doing a scene with fighting on a street corner. It's a shame; the carrier comes with five crew figures, but they're all too relaxed to be used in this scene. Should have got the forced recon variant instead :smiling5:

Thank you all! In the interest of trying something new, I've given casting a go, using milliput. My first and second efforts at casting a Lee Enfield:

Far from perfect, and still some trimming to do, but I think they'll be fine as accessories for the back of the carrier, or the inside of a CLE cannister:

A nice accessory from the figure set. There's also a Welbike, which I'll try to put in the scene if there's room for it.

I've purchased some street accessories from MiniArt to spruce things up a bit. I might use the bollards and a drain and save the rest for another time.
