Looks like lots of work Peter, but should look stunning when completed.
Are you going to try and put fabric on it?

I used to love building balsa kit planes. And that looks a cracking model to build indeed.

My balsa aircraft building came to an abrupt end when all my five aircraft I had spent years constructing were converted to matchwood by an Ayr based removal company!! Ever since - just never had the inkling.

Only ever flew them once to prove they worked, then stored. To me, the skill and pleasure was in the building!!

Really look forward to watching this come together.

As another who used to build and fly balsa (and foam) model aircraft it should be OK to build but will take a bit of time. If you cover it with Solartex it will give the real fabric look but left open it would also look good and any onlookers could see the work you put in.

Andy.

That should keep you out of mischief for a while, I will follow along if you don't mind.

Doing a fabulous job Peter. I have this kit too. I'm watching with interest to see how you deal with this build.
