I found this old kit on eBay, having owned one back in the 80s, I couldn't resist it even though it is old and not near the Tamiya quality! Loads of parts to play with including 26 for each cylinder! The box art shows a horrible colour scheme- I will try to match my old one ....

Only have one picture of the real bike

Ah,a "Brick" !!!....
....Gotta love em :smiling3:
My mate's still got his Black ,Faired 1980's one... Uses it most of the year round :smiling3:
Ugly,yes,.. however,It's still going strong!!..,and to be honest....,IMHO,it was a far better cruiser in its day than the Honda CX500,....
.... Different cc obviously,(but unlike most,I actually quite liked the two CX examples that I owned back in the day ), but those "Pigs" weren't SO bad really!!
Anyway,I've rambled on long enough!
Suffice to say, cracking choice mate, and I shall be following along ,
Cheers for now,
Andy

Interesting to see an old bike build. Those cylinder fins look complicated, but I bet they are faster to clean up than a one piece moulding…..as you say, the colour scheme on the box is ‘orrible…..

The way those cylinders build up makes me wonder if this originated as a Protar kit.

Coming along nicely......

Hi Steve
Looks a nice kit for it's age. At this large scale that method of constructing the cylinders makes for a great result. Excellent progress.

I'm calling this done ........ The fairing drove me mad! It just wouldn't fit together nicely however I tried :anguished:
So I went with the unfaired version and that will have to do - Pretty horrible old kit to be honest, will stick to Tamiya from now on ;)
