Welcome Mark, I'm late (keeping up with all the posts here is almost impossible) but nonetheless happy to have another modeller on the forum.

(if it helps, when i do three tone cam I'll always start with a total base coat of the lightest colour, then I'll apply the additional colours using masks made from white tack sausages)
