apart from a decent satin coat, she is about ther now. going to mount it on a nice seascape. had a problem with coat of kleer......its got ayellow tinge in places. im not gonna use it again. because i work as a floorlayer , ive got some karndean floor gloss. i used it on hms kent and it came out great. i thought this kleer was supposed to be the wonder stuff? mines going down the drain!

Looking superb there Rob, really good build. Sounds like the Kleer has been contaminated or, more than likely, reacted to the paintwork.

Hi Rob,

This looks great, I've never built a ship/boat model, the sizes always confuse me and then there's all the tiny bits and pieces I don't think my eyes would forgive me... ;)

cheers lads. youre right on the mark there si, its reacted quite bad in one place... the paint started to craze. ive rubbed it over with wet and dry and then retouched the paint, sticking to humbrol satin cote to finish off.
