Evening

I about to start weathering the Stug O. I have Mig Ammo filters and washes, how long do they last in the bottle? I have not used them for about a year.

Does anybody know if there is a 'use by date'???

there's probably a use by date but my bottles are about 10 years old. A good stir up and they will work again I think

I had a DAK brown wash and filter go irredeemably hard after about two years, but the others are still OK. To be honest, I now use a Sansodor/Oil paint mix be because it smells much better.....

The two I had go solid would not reconstitute no matter ho hard I tried, humbrol flesh colour used to have the same problem, so I think it is probably a pigment issue...
Never had any enamel paint do this apart from these three examples, and I have some going back from my teenage days that are now over forty years old.....

Morning Bob,
All of my Mig washes/filters have settled! Probably had them around 9yrs or so....I just get a stirring stick in them and shake the bejesus out of them!

As Tim has said pigments and the carrier are the important thing here .
I've had home made washes that after a few weeks stink , and these were made with water and cheap poster paints.
At work I had ready made washes that were spirit based , for staining timber these would last for years , as long as you stirred them as the pigments would settle . Water based ones would break up after being stored in cold conditions.

Nothing ever had a use by date on :smiling3::smiling3:
John.
