As many of you know I have just had a bit of a problem with this and decided to repaint and re decal it well ive just put a coat of revell gloss clear on it ready for the decals and I discovered something !

I never bothered to repaint the underside as tbh I quite liked the look but gave it a coat anyway only to see the original colour come back to life

Oh well we live and learn ;)

Alan try Humbrol Clear. I have found it a very nice product. It is thin and does not clog features. Dries fast. For higher gloss just apply further coats. Clear ha ha as a bell.

Easier to clean brushes or air brushes. Put in your search Humbrol Clear and Humbrol have a 5 minute film on how to use it.

I think what Alan means is that the gloss coat he applied to the underside nullified the ' bloom ' caused by the matt coat.

If so, it's a useful quick fix to this common problem.
