Sorry about the delay, just had the tv engineer visit and SWMBO's tv comes first.
So on with the update.
The model is now complete and on it's base and below I will display it for you. As usual any and all comments are welcome.
Mike.

Looking great as usual :smiling3:

Though I notice you have forgotten to add a little dog to the base …

Of course this is a well deserved award. Congratulations Mike from the Awards Committee.

Hope the TV engineer has been allowed to leave in one piece and not had the hounds set on him !

Reply,
Many thanks for all your comments. John, the engineer escaped unharmed, they found common ground, both wives have a tortoise :relieved:
Jakko, no dogs at this time.
Neil and Scottie, many thanks.
Mike.

Outstanding Mike. If that doesn’t get a rosette with a number 1 in the middle, there is no justice.

Simply outstanding. Top notch work.

Do mind me asking how you did the base? I've got to do a similar sandy looking base for my North Africa Dio.

Thanks in advance.

Andrew,
I put the details of the base in the conversations to you. If you do not get it, let me know and I will do it again for you.
Mike.

Hi Mike
That is superb - models don't get any better. The detail is stunning. Having so many things "open" so you see inside just adds a whole load of extra interest.

A terrific build MIke. Its a shame it had to be painted as it looked so nice in its "naked state". Wonderful attention to the finishing touches. Nice to see your humour hasnt diminished with the bog roll on the ramp:smiling3::thumb2:;)

Outstanding work...what memories this build brings back having been a track driver in the early 80’s.
