Great paint job Scottie. Glad to see you did the recoil wear on the barrel. Good luck with the weathering

Next one of my favourite parts of modelling, the weathering.

The gun platform received some work to remove some of the sand paint (following some hairspray) where the gun team would move around. Next some chipping. Followed by a oil dot wash. I want to show a wagon that has put up with the desert conditions for a while. Saying that there are some areas that I might tone back a bit.

Next will be a pin wash to bring out the detail.

I need to do a bit more work on the gators.

One of the 6 feet.

The gun shield hopefully you can make out the light streaking.

cheers

Yeah Scottie, I'm with the rest of this crowd....I find the streaking and chipping to be about right for a desert environment. I apologize for "slippering" into that "ball" of banter over "knitting" but I couldn't keep from "needling" JR just a little! I hope I can "mend" my ways and "knot" be such a bore in the future! ;) yours, "stitchy" Rick.

Jakko, I keep meaning to get myself a pair of those.
Check with Mr. Race I believe he has some extra knitting needles and 4BO yarn left :tongue-out3: ;) :thumb2:
Rick, I will have to try and find a pattern.
That's worked a treat. Well done. Looking very good.
Jim
Thanks Jim, it doesn't look to bad but could have been better.

Very nearly finished. As I said earlier in the thread I'm not sure I am 100% happy but it was a good learning curve. Pigments have been added tried to make the vehicle look like an accumulation of dust and sand had built up.

Please be honest and let me know what you think both good and in particular where It could be better.

I think you and I have a similar approach to weathering and colour palettes; looking forward to the end product!
