Real neat work Peter. Best I've seen yet from you...you can really pucker :smiling3:

I remember a figure painter telling me once that more given details means it needs to be painted and highlighted which is good rather than trying to create something out of a badly molded feature.

Cheers,
Richard

Ralph - Many thanks for looking in.

Richard - This does seem to be going well and a lot of it is to do with the superb sculpt. In my book, if the detail is there, you have to paint it, and as you say, it's much easier not to have to make it up.

The boots:

I knew these would be problematic, because, as is usual with injection moulded figures, the mould lines went through the laces. I cleaned them up the best I could, though inevitably there was some compromise.

Just catching up Peter and I’m blown away!
I appreciate it’s a nice sculpt to start with but your painting skills have really brought all that lovely Detail to life.

Too stuff:cool:

Hi Peter
Superb as always. Treatment of fabric is unbelievable.

Cheers chaps. Quite keen to try more of these newer figures from ICM. They have announced a Roman Centurian for release in the Autumn, which sounds juicy.

Very modern Peter, strange to see you do something like this.
Nothing different to the great painting though.

Morning Peter

Superb figure with great work detailing all the seams

A very muted camo too.

Quiet empty nest?

Nearly, just 1 more to go LOL.

I need a quiet weekend off, but its week 5 and another Saturday at work, again!

Animal Farm was excellent for Amateur drama and only 60 in the audience on a stage the size of a living room

Then a family birthday on Sunday!

Time for hands, kit and a base?

Its back to Autumn again

Have a good day

Regards

Steve H

John - Yes, frighteningly modern for me, but I do like the film - ''We just lost the initiative.'' !!

Steve - Naomi went off to Reading on Sunday, but we all feel surprisingly calm about it. She's the second of course, but she's also got her head screwed on, unlike her sister. She and her floor-mates all went out for a drink last night - that's the way to go!

Probably won't get Delta man finsihed today. There is a lot of equipment and wiring still to do, so I'll probably save the hands and guns for the last session.

Glad you had an enjoyable weekend - hopefully it set you up for your 1 in 5.

The next stage:

This session, I painted and fitted the water bottles, backpack, walkie-talkie, pistol and shotgun. The last bit of wiring was added, connecting the walkie-talkie to the headset and the terminals of the helmet battery.

John - 'Sumptuously understated' is praise indeed, and I'm humbled that you like my effort.

Andrew - Very many thanks.

Peter,
I have to agree with John. You achieve a level of painting I can only dream of.

Thanks Scottie. I never thought I'd enjoy such a modern figure, so it's great to have a new field opened out.
