Cab almost ready for paint now,
The two small peaks on the front of the cab are not shown in the instructions anywhere but if you hunt you'll find them on the sprues, every picture I've found online of the wot 8 has these!
Front screens fit into separate frames so can be stuck in whenever you want really.20210603_231350.jpg20210603_231244.jpg20210603_231133.jpg20210603_231105.jpg

Cab now in colour, that's everything painted and satin coated now,a pinwash and mattcoat when that's dry and then the final build followed by some not too heavy weathering.
Time to crack open another one while the paints drying;) oh I already did!

Looks good, liking the dirt/dust :thumb2:
Cheers Gerry , may clean it off and start again yet, was going for a clean pin wash in the seams before using some dust and dirt pigments but as usual I rushed it and my lighting is pretty poor which dosnt help, need to look at it again in daylight!

A few more bits to do,matt coat, mirrors and lights, weathering wheels and tyres but you get the idea! Door handle in the pic went ping so had to improvise. And yes the front axle is wider than the rear which looks a little strange but that's how it's supposed to be. 20210611_223810_Richtone(HDR).jpg20210611_223457_Richtone(HDR).jpg

Mark,
these trucks would have taken a hammering in real life, so a few dinks here & there won't be noticed!
It's looking the real business, now...
Dave
Thanks Dave, just painted the canvas so paint drying time but almost finished this one now.

Just a couple of photos from my collection; a 'hammering in real life' having fallen off the Kyrenia Pass and finished up in an olive grove! Great diorama idea perhaps?IMG_0373.jpgIMG_0371.jpg

Mark, just been looking through and was thinking how good the subtle dirt was on the back cargo area, your not changing it are you ?
