Imperial TIE Fighters

Almost finished my pair of TIE Fighters. This was a AMT/Ertl model that was released back in the 90's. This is a skill level 2 model. Parts fitted really well although there aren't that many of them. Once the inner cockpit is assembled (about 7 pieces) the rest of the fighter consists of 7-8 other pieces. It comes with a plith in the form of a Death Star exterior segment and the fighters can be erected via perspex stands. Really enjoyed this build, next up, Darth Vader's TIE Fighter.

Crackin' pair of Tie's fella, very nice work. Am still looking for a Star Wars bargain on the web but they seem quite hard to find (real bargains that is)

Cool looking Tie fighters.

I really like the weathered finish you've created, what paint did you use?

Many thanks.

Yeah, there are a few bargins out there. It really depends on if your lucky enough to find them just at the right time. I think this set was about £17.

Thanks.

I used the MIG dark wash. It's really watery, so it gets into all the knooks and crannies.
