So I was looking to find the colour for my group build F6 and found this, it is pretty old (2004) so it may be old hat here what with me being only a relatively noob I haven't read all the older articles (shame on me, I know) and found this:

A good read and reference, part2 is the USAAF interior colours and part 3 US Navy which helped me - seems like lower half of the interior is interior green and top half of the cockpit is black and with a primer of Zinc chromate green, which wasn't necessarily green anyway.
What is also interesting is that the landing gear is often painted the same colour as the underside which may be a surprise, not sure off-hand what my Eduard one has but I'll be finding out this weekend when I make a start on it.
