More shading and fading to do ... but here’s progress to date...

I’ve been experimenting with try to get some water effects and / or glue to stick to a length of clear thread as depending how it looks I m thinking of having the joker drooling at the mouth... might work out or might not?

Hi all... this is about done now... complete with drool although I’m still not sure about it.... it looks better in reality and might be better without the harsh light so I will take another look in daylight...I had real trouble trying to put some lettering on The straight jacket...I even tried making a stencil but it just wasn’t right so maybe I will come back to that at some point?
This has been a super quick build by my standards and really good to do something completely different for a change...
Sorry about picture overload but thanks for taking a look!

The drool looks so right too, where did he get the cut throat from?

Well done

Great finish. Leatherwork looks really convincing. Personally I’m not sure about the drool?

Thanks Tim... I think the jury is still out on the drool for me as well???

Thanks Peter... I will probably go with the majority as it looks like being a "spit decision!!!" ( sorry!)

Thanks
Jason.

Excellent paintwork, it really nails it.

Personally if i may, i think the drool looks to big, if you look at the size of the globules and compare them to the size of his pupil, they are quite big.. maybe if the globules were smaller it would work better..(just my opinion, so i could be wrong).

Also, is it just me or does anybody else see the actor Steve Buscemi in there ? i think it's the 'crooked smile' that does it for me....

Thanks Chris... I take your point regarding the size and clipped off he bottoms of the longest strands to balance it out a bit more.
Thanks
Jason.

Drool looks a bit better Jason, but I’m still not sure. I’ve worked out what I don’t like about it. The drool detracts from the mouth and eyes, drawing the viewers eye away from them. The Eyes and mouth are the center of this piece so should be the focus, at least, in my opinion. Others obviously differ :loudly-crying:

I know what you mean Tim... I’m not 100% either but I’m erring on the side of leaving it there... but I may well return to this one at some point?
Thanks
Jason

Hi Jason
That is one of the best I've seen for a long time. Superly painted and the drool is perfect.

Stunning!
FWIW ,Jason, I like the drool but I think there should only be one stream, and it should be straight, and not too long.
I do like the way you have the stain on the straitjacket, too
