Is it possible to use "Sharpies" for fine lines over acrylic paints, or would that be classed as a dumb question

Don’t see why not. I occasionally use technical pens for fine lines, and that is a fairly similar idea.

Don't they fade/change to a blueish tone time relatively quickly?

I tried sharpies but I found that they were not very effective. Much better are Posca paint pens. Get the ones with a fine tip. I use them all the time now mostly for knobs and switches.

I use 0.05mm fine permament markers on occasion over acrylics with no problems.

But check they are permanent, to my knowledge they are less likely to fade over time.

For me I use a speck of paint on a fine brush. More accurate.

Advantage go all little astray water on a cotton bud to the rescue.

Permanent markers are permanent as soon as you hit the plastic.

Also hate when I have used pressing on the nib to produce ink. Nothing happens & then the whole thing floods.
Tut having one of my bad grumbly days. Never mind Tuesday is an even number day.

Thanks Guys, I will try an experimental job first, with a top coat of varnish if it works. If no joy then I will seek out the paint markers.

That depends Steve entirely on what month I am in & the position of the moon in relation to the sun.
Despite all that scientific knowledge it can be come arbitrary.

Are you American or something? :tongue-out:
Jakko I prefer something please.

Look as though Tuesday, so far, is a no day.

Not likely Steve through one of these.

German relic of the occupation of Jersey by the Nazis.

Peacetime the top is a marine station outlook occupied night & day for those who may become distressed at sea.
The blob right is Jersey's own moon :smiling6:
