Absolutely beautiful John, I really like it. The satisfaction you must feel knowing that you scratch built the whole thing must be terrific.

All the best

The plane was not totally scratch built. It started as a short kit. Laser cutting saves old eyes and fingers. All of the detailing is original, engine, cock pit, guns, etc.

I started a new plane a Fokker Dr I. I scracth built the Le Rhone engine. Here is where it is as of today.View attachment 40740

Nice work none-the-less and the DR. 1 engine is fabulous.

It's not quite in the same scale but I have the Roden 1/32 DR.1 waiting in the stash. I must say that all this is making want to start that particular kit!

keep up the fabulous work.

Paul

PS. How big is a 1/9 world war 1 bi-plane?!!!

Thats a lovely piece of work John.

I'm very impressed with your build skills, and that pilot is great.

Tony.

My first attempt at constructing a Le Rhone rotary is over. The next time I attempt one I shall know what I am doing. The first chapter in Fokker fabrication is over. Before framing the plane, a pair of spoke wheels and a set of Spandau guns are in order.View attachment 40758View attachment 40759View attachment 40760View attachment 40761View attachment 40762View attachment 40763
