Yeah we usually never get this much snow but it’s been awful cold here too. We will have a low of 5 degrees Friday morning

Looks like you might have got 4 to 5 inches.........we got four last night and it was 12 deg. (F) this morning when I got up at 07:30. Plowed the missus out so's she could do the weekly shopping trip to town and then spent the rest of the day on my Rooskie GB. Must be a tedious task to plow with a back blade.......I use a 4 wheeler chained up on all 4 corners with a 50" blade. Takes about 20-30 minutes to knock out a little over an eighth mile drive.

We got right at 10” so far a lot of it blowed around this morning going to snow a little bit more tonight. It took me about 45 minutes I think my gas was trying to freeze up a couple times.

Wow.......didn't look that bad. 10" is doable as long as it don't drift! My quad turns into a battering ram when we get drifted up to a foot and a half or more. About 3 years ago it took me over 5 hrs. to plow us out......the lower part of the driveway is wide open and unprotected from the wind and it can get really nasty if we have a wet snow....like plowing wet concrete!

This was a dry blowing at first then it got kinda wet and heavy. I’ll be finishing it up today when it warms up. Thanks for stopping by Rick.

We got 10" as well and SWMBO and I cleared it all by muscle power.

Wish I could do that John like I used to but the Lungs won’t let me. I did shovel a small part of the porch and sidewalk off yesterday morning around 5am.

I should say that I have no discernable upper body strength. so fortunately this only happens once or twice a year.

Well it’s that time of year again Spring time here on the Hobby Farm. Things are blooming out and time for cleaning the wife’s Flower beds out and getting ready for planting the garden. I got up a couple Saturday mornings ago and I started to make some coffee and seen these deer right outside my kitchen window eating the winter I planted all that hard work last Fall planting it paid off just for this moment. I also couldn’t resist taking a pic off my front porch of the sunrise. More pics of the farm later. 79CFE122-543F-4590-BBA2-334F13941F9D.jpeg6DC3F969-D3EF-4B53-8789-C8065BCCC15A.jpeg6FB321EC-8CAE-4F93-841F-40D91669C133.jpeg628548D6-F193-4F80-A03C-311B2745D5E6.jpeg1C7B97B5-A63C-4EAE-89BC-CB2E436D734D.jpegA1EE0CD9-7A7E-428D-A871-BA5B05D5EC47.jpeg48669C8E-0DA8-46F7-8C7D-E8A19EE026ED.jpeg84B4220F-AB1C-4FA1-9E6B-233F32B00CA2.jpeg

Hi Lee
A beautiful place and a beautiful time of year. When we lived in Scotland the red deer came down from the hills in winter looking for food. On a couple of occasions they came down the road and in through the front gate.
