I am having a spring clean (sorting out the rubbish in other words)!
I have found at the back of a cupboard two panzer lifecolour sets.

Does anyone have any experiance using them. Are they any good? Do they need thinning and if so what with??

I have no idea when and why i bought the sets, must have been a evilbay bargain

Thanks Bob

You mean for airbrushing? I have some which I'm planning to try out. Not a huge fan of the non smelly acrylics in general but I think it's almost worth thinning the paints a bit. But more so, I'd say pop them out and try them on a piece of scrap ^^

Are they any good?
No.

I’ve got about a dozen, tried maybe half of those, and none of them cover worth a damn at all. Brush-painting, I had to put four or five coats of Luftwaffe desert brown (whatever it’s called, I don’t feel like looking it up :smiling3:) over Airfix light blue plastic before the model was actually brown without any blue bits showing through. LifeColor Portland Stone similarly required four or five coats to turn a medium grey tank into a sand-coloured one. I don’t quite remember if I’ve tried airbrushing this paint, but I seem to recall I did with one colour and it covered just as poorly.

I can't say I liked them - I bought a Caunter Set - never really sprayed, or covered well - haven't bought any since - there are far more useable paints out there!
