While still getting the courage up to start the plane/house dio, planning and purchasing has started for the following one.
Latest purchases are:-
2 X aerosan (Trumpeter)
1 X armoured aerosan (Trumpeter)
1 X T34 and tank riders (ICM)
Will be worked in with the Studebaker 6x and the other Soviet kits I've got.
Plans are for it to be set somepoint in late autumn, when the aerosans will be getting ready for action.

Good stuff, Aerosans fascinate me. They just don’t seem to be overtly military in nature…..

Not even a captured Stug, John?

That will be something different to see Gerry, so far only seen one Aerosan built by Jim.

Cheers,
Richard

Not sure, but I'd guess that they'd be used similar to motorcycle outfits for recce, and the armoured ones for hit and run operations?
Only reason that I bought them is that I'm often fascinated by the wierd and off piste things!

Nice to have you on board, as I'm sure that I'm going to need advice on 4Bo (not sure if I've got any! Got plenty of green paint though ) and uniform colours, not having done any Soviet kits before - though I think that my eldest may have done a set of tank riders back in the distant past & we had to buy a metal tank model to display them on as at the time, we couldn't find a kit - might have to check on that

Doubt that it'll be a quick build, and the figures won't be brilliant (been practicing, and getting good zombies and stuff of nightmares so far! :surprised: )
Just got to figure out how they might have been stored over the year when not being used, then see if the kits have engines or if they're just exterior/partial items.

For those who are interested, the latest kit numbers are
TRU02321 Armoured aerosan
TRU02322 Aerosan
ICM35368 T-34-76 With Soviet Tank Riders - seems rather a low price on this (£28.04 on eBay) so not expecting much. Might use it for this, or put it in the stash, not sure.
