I was asked to post some pics of my layout
Maltkiln Rd is the main bit, modern image, EWS era.
Ensbury Pk is the top preserved railway bit.

I think I have got this, things have changed since this was taken.
I will try to take a couple more up to date photos, before too long I hope.

Hi Stuart
Great looking layout. It always impresses me just how much work must go into a layout like this.

Nice one Stuart. Layout looks excellent! The Gong quote must be from Flying Teapot…..saw them at Glastonbury in about 83……

I didn't know they were still going :surprised: Floating anarchy radio! Did you ever see here and now? A similar sort of British act dating from the seventies…….I was a Hawkwind fan as well….

Yep they are still around, although Daevid Allen left us for the planet Gong early part of last year, I think, as I have found with
all this palaver with covid lock downs, I am getting confused with recalling timings.
I like Hawkwind, what do think of Eloy, also Porcupine Tree? Here and Now, does not strike a cord, mind you there were so
many great bands in the seventies, we were very fortunate to have lived then.
I have about 20 Gong records, but they made many more
Peace and Love

Surprised you haven’t come across Here and Now. Mind you, I’ve not come across Eloy or Porcupine tree :loudly-crying:
Have you got, or did you see, any of the Planet Gong (as opposed to just Gong) stuff? Perhaps the Live floating anarchy album, for example. That was basically Here and now working as a backing band for Daevid Allen (Dingbat Alien, as he was credited on the album). I don’t have any of my Gong or Here and now stuff any more. I lost it sometime in the early eighties, loaning it to a mate and losing track of who it was :worried: I’ve never found any of it at record fairs for a price I wanted to pay.
I was one of the unlucky people to see Hawkwind on tour with Ginger Baker on drums…..great drummer, but totally unsuited to that material. I think he did the first four gigs and then quit……he wasn’t there when we saw them later in the same tour…..mind you, the joke at the time was that people stayed longer at a burger van than they did playing for Hawkwind :tongue-out3:

Hi Rick
Tried posting some more photo's but the forum won't let me post anymore.
Got message pic too large, funny the first two were ok. All the photo's were
taken with same camera with no changes to settings.
So, I will not be able to post more pics.

Hi Rick.

I did try tp send from my PC, as with the first two. Have not got a clue how to resize.
I have found a paint bit, but it is Paint3D and I can't find any button or whatever to resize a photo.
I have noticed I am not the only one with this problem.
I just simply won't post pics.
Actually saves me a load of hassle.
Stuart

I use a free download called "VSO Image Resizer". Very easy to use.

OK I have found a resizing thingy.
Now there will be photo's of a RHTT model build I did myself, plus three N Gauge Society kits, EWS.
Also a photo of the RA train I have converted, just waitng for the Etch plate from Fox Transfers.
The Loco number is the last six from my Army number, the coach numbers are made up from the
Bty numbers, as you can see the coaches and engine are resprayed in the Regimental Colours
of the RA.
Also are the coaches for the NUA Nuclear flask escort coaches.DSC04567 (Copy).jpgDSC04528 (Copy).jpgDSC04561 (Copy).jpgDSC04561 (Copy).jpg

Hello all.
Here are some more photo's. The grills on the loco are not fitted yet and I am waiting for the engine etch name plate from Fox transfers.
The loco number is the last five from my Army number.
I have just one of the coaches as they are the same except for the number, which is the Bty number.
The NWR, New Measurement Train coaches are one's I have converted myself from Dapol Mk3's Virgin HST,
which were a good price from Hatton's, £15 each. Three are completed, one is on workbench nearly re-assembled
and the other is painted, just awawaiting re-assembly.
I have also a photo of the Service Depot with some of my collection of EWS loco's.

Thanks for the feedback chaps. Yep, it means that this particular train has a real meaning to me.
It should look a lot better when the name plate arrives.
Oh and when I get round to fitting the mesh grills, that should help, been meaning to do for yonks lol.
