Hi all, I picked this up the other day. Couldn't resist when I saw it, even at 20 notes. I've still got the remains of one that I built when I was about 14 so thought I'd have another go. For a 40 year old kit it's stood the test of time really quite well and I thoroughly enjoyed building it, just needs some decals and a bit of weathering and its done.

Alex,
That is very nicely done. Did the base come with it or did you make it.

Nice Alex

This was always my favourite of the matchbox kits - think I still have an original up in the stash waiting to build. Cost considerably less - local supermarket used to knock em out at a couple of quid way back when

Scottie - bases were included with all the afv kits if I remember rightly

Anything with Matchbox in the title grabs my attention. You've done a great job here, and a 40 something year old kit still has a lot to offer.

Cheers guys! And yes, the base comes with the kit. I just filled in the back of the wall section.

I’ve also got one of these in the stash, the Revell reissue in three colours, for exactly the same reason: it was always one of my favourites from when I was young.

And yes, the base comes with it.

Thanks again guys. She scrubs up ok for an old girl! :smiling5: I've got the Morris C8 and 17 Pdr in the stash, might give that a go next. Another one that I first built over thirty bugger, nearly forty years ago!
