Hi guys

Advise time lads!
Which metal AB paint out of MRP, AK Xtreme metal and Mr Hobby Aqua are the best for coverage, fine detail close in spraying and richness in colour?

The lacquer ones will usually give a better result so MRP and Alclad for starters. I would not go water based for metallisers. The AK ones are apparently enamel based so they would be better than the Mr Hobby Aqua.

Hi Alex
I certainly agree that lacquer based metallics are the best but they do have the downside of being smelly. I have found the Vallejo Metallics pretty good for a water based paint HERE Although mainly intended to be airbrushed they can be brush painted, very useful for acheiving a metallic look to small details.

Thanks guys, I am trying Tamiya mini acrylic metals colours and they just do not thin well. At 70% on 10-18psi with spattering and stuttering. Any ideas?
