Well I thought I'd better get something sorted out for this build so I've ordered this one, should be here in a day or two.

Wanted to do a 1/72 just to keep the size down a bit, I'm building a 1/48 Hornet at the moment and its pretty big for me so back to the smaller scale.

I may invest in some upgrades, I fancy giving one of those Aries cockpits a go, but I'll wait to see what's in the box first.

looking forward to to this group build. M

Nice call, and plenty of bits to choose from, though Hasegawa stuff usually comes pretty well detailed, iirc.

Good luck with it :smiling3:

Ok, kit arrived this morning, looks pretty nice, my last couple of builds have been 1/48 so this looks small. Nice sharp casting with very little flash but I have to say on first inspection a little less detail than might be expected for a kit in this price range. Still got a lot to do an my present build (Revell Super Hornet) so this will start after that and I imagine a few weeks into March, watching everyone get their kits sorted out has really wetted my appetite for this. Gonna be a lot of fun I think. M

Some nice bits and pieces there. With most of you going all out with the details sets, mine is going to look like a toy. A nice toy though.

Its not a requirement Joe.

I'm doing the full Monty on mine simply as it is a special Interest build, and I have plenty of time to get the bits together. 90% of my builds are OOB, with the odd bit of scratch.

Look forwards to seeing that one/seventy-tooth bang-seat painted up.

Hi Jim, got them from Hannants, here's a link, Hannants - Plastic model kits, plastic figures and accessories

They're good once you get the hang of the website and normally deliver fast. M

Ok, got something done on this kit at last. First time using these quick-boost seats and I've got to say I love them, it'll be hard to go back to the kit supplied ones.

I'll try to keep this build moving now I've gotten started, M
