Hi all

So this is another one that had been languishing 'in progress' for sometime until it received a primer coat at the weekend.

I picked this up just before last Christmas from one of the members at my model club. He was trying to get rid of it and all he wanted was what he paid for it. He'd clearly bought it second hand at a show because the price on the back was £1.50!! I gave him £2 for it just because I felt guilty for getting it at such a bargain price.

The plan had been to build it OOB for the battles junior and I have but as usual my imagination ran wild and so I have covered the walls in properly, added a second floor and created what will be a flagstone floor from B&Q's grey heavy crack filler.

On the whole it went to together well although the roof is a bit disappointing in comparison to the rest of the kit but I can't really complain as I only paid £2 for it

ACW as usual and sorry for all the pics, I have tried to be selective but............

Assembled-ish but as you can see it looks untidy inside

Finished tidying it up!

'Flagstone' stone floor made from filler. The floor needed some bracing though.

The roof required quite a bit of bracing as it needs to be removable. Two more horizontal supports at each end have been have been added since this shot was taken

Primer on (I left the floor in the 'natural') but I need to redo the 1st floor.

Flooring looks great especially for such a small scale!
Too bad you are across "the great divide"...the pond, I could use a new flooring job in one of my barns...I would hire you right off! :smiling4:

Cheers! Jim.

Wonderful additions to the building. It's great you only paid a couple of quid for it. Is it for the war gamming table or a dio??

Gentlemen - my sincerest and most heartfelt of apologies as I have just realised that I have forgotten to acknowledge your most fulsome, nay overwhelming, praise of my most humble endeavours!! Ok, so that was a tad OTT. ;)

Jim - I would volunteer if you provided food, materials and accommodation but the thought of doing a full-seized floor with 1 inch long planks does not bear thinking about!!! :tongue-out3:

Si - thanks! It's probably a bit OTT but was nonetheless a useful exercise! As you say a TOTAL bargain!!

Scottie - Thank you for that and having spend 16 minutes or so yesterday afternoon watching your vid on superglue and etch - stunning BTW - I will take that as a real compliment!!

Steve - thank you very much, your support is appreciated! It will be for wargaming. I also have a cunning plan where the windows are concerned, so watch this space.

Jim - thanks for stopping but.. Lets hope I don't let it down with bad paint work!!
