Looking forward to seeing it with doors and bonnet Jim! Did I mention there was an SS1 saloon at the Chateau Impney hillclimb the other week?

Mechanically very similar I think.

Pete - it sounds daft I know but I made and painted the doors a while ago and put them 'somewhere safe' and when taking the photos I didn't even notice they weren't there!
Pete - that is a beautiful car. Many years ago when I lived in Yorkshire there was a Jaguar Owners Club drive out and I went to watch the cars pass. There was an SS100 among the cars. Only time I have seen one. If I win the lottery then who knows ..... ?
We have doors. I am giving the bonnet another day for the paint to fully harden. I have been caught out once before with Humbrol Enamel gloss - the dreaded finger print.

Your attention to detail is a credit to you sir :thumb2:
I particularly like the colour....Just right for a vintage Jag in my book:smiling4:

It was a real joy to see this inaugural car build come to together. You have done an absolute wonder of a build. I will pop over and look at the finished article. Well done sir:thumb2:
