I will drill some more and move the pylon forwards a few millimetres.
At least it will cover the first set of holes, so probably no need for more filler :smiling3:

I’ve now got both wings on.The dihedral looked far too much.so I cut them partly off and added plastic card packers at the upper wing root.So of course more filling and sanding was needed. Then I rescribed the aileron and flap panel lines.

I’ve added the seats with Eduard seat belts and the instrument panels. I used decals from my spares box for the instruments as none are provided in the Kit. I’ve also added a spare gun sight from my recent Airfix Mustang to the Left fuselage cockpit.

I’ve made some boxes to fill the void behind the seats .Probably not accurate. But to me it looks better than an empty space.Ive also glued the vacform windscreens on.

A coat of Alclad black primer shows up a few joins that need more work.

After countless sessions of filling and sanding I’ve finally got a coat of paint on it.Vallejo metallics range ‘white aluminium’ over Alclad black primer. It needs rubbing down in s couple of places and another coat putting on.

I had a problem with the silver paint. Probably because it was acrylic and it was very cold in my garage. So I cleaned it all off with IPA. Now it’s been resprayed with Alclad gloss black. And I’ve painted the anti glare areas with Tamiya tyre black. Will mask them off and start on the silver.

Nice finish on that gloss black. I bet Alclad allu would come out nice over that.

The paint bloomed on two areas.probably because I was using acrylic paint in near freezing temperatures.Should have stuck to my usual Humbrol enamels

I’ve resprayed the model with Revell enamel aluminium. Finally a finish I’m happy with. The canopies are done as well.
