Lol, it's also funny as I'm sure I've seen him use a similar looking avatar!

Latest progress .The seat has had a pin wash to highlight the details and is ready to go in the rather snug cockpit. Ive takren some pics before fitting the telescopic clamshell cover to show the areas of the seat that will be invisible once its fitted . It looks rather like a rocket powered carrycot doesnt it!!? Ive also been busy assembling the engine pods ( the tricky seams are yet to be sorted ), and painting and highlighting the undercarriage bay doors. Heres some pics cheers tony

Nice work Tony. That ejection capsule is very interesting as you said it would be. I found this link. Apparently the Stanley capsules even had a snorkel and flotation devices for survival at sea! http://www.ejectionsite.com/eb58caps.htm

Apologies for the break in transmission!! this ones been a bit of a stop /start job , other things like holidays etc. meaning i havent been able to get in the shed as often as i should. Anyway heres a few pics of where I am at the moment .

The front fuselage halves (top and bottom) have been joined and the seam sorted by re-instating the panel line as a raised one by using stretched sprue glued over the joint . The rear tail section also being sorted this way . The tricky engine pods have also been assembled and after a lot of very delicate cleaning up between the raised lines are looking ok and ready to be fitted to the wing . cheers tony

The Hustlers coming along well Tony. Nice fix for the raised panel lines.Saves doing a huge rescribing job instead.

Bit more progress on the hustler today. All the airframe is together , joint lines have been sanded and re instated and the canopy is on. All the wheels have been painted. Its now had a thin coat of primer , ready for the next coat which will be Tamiya black gloss. I'm going to be using various Vallejo model Air metallics and hopefully the black undercoat will give it a bit of depth and also maybe highlight the panel lines if i dont apply it too thick!! here she is in primer

Gloss Black basecoat is on and the Matt black for the radome has been done too , all ready to be masked off and then the fun(?) starts - the many different shades of silver/gunmetal/aluminium etc all to be done with modelair metallics and vallejo liquid silver . Ive also spent the best part of two hours scraping the seam lines off the dozens of parts that make up the very complicated undercarriage . Heres the beast in black , cheers tonyView attachment 113173
