I'm calling the undercarriage done. Its very nice straight out of the box ,on the main legs all ive added are the brake line from the scissor link to the wheel hub , the wires from the lights and replaced the kit lights with holographic sequins and kristal klear. On the nose wheel ive added wires from the lamp , and the steering unit motor, and again replaced the lamp with a sequin, the rest is just painting and highlighting the kit detail. Something i was quite pleasantly surprised about is the Good Year logo on the tyres , as per the real thing , good research Monogram! The Instrument panel is done , after having the middle MFD screen added , again from holographic confetti , some instrument decals and careful painting . The main body is all together , ive still got to decide whether to leave the tailplanes off and attach them after painting or stick them on now . I must say i'm really enjoying this one - its nicely detailed without being fiddly, has gone together nicely with a bit of careful dry fitting and cleaning up and is quite impressively sized , on top of all that i got it for a bargain £7!! The next update will probabl see it in the paint , cheers tony

Like the Kamov , this ones been a long time doing nothing but ive got a bit more done . The undercarriage is on , only needing connecting rods making for the back u/c doors on the main legs and the ejector seat and instrument panel are fitted too. The prominent folding anti glare shrouds on the instrument panel top have been added from thick wine foil , the port side one being in the folded position which is the norm when the aircraft is unoccupied - it makes entry easier for the pilot- and the hazard markings have been made from tamiya tape lined diagonally with a cd pen. The very fiddly HUD has been fitted but the very thick ,wrongly shaped kit glass has been replaced with Holographic confetti ,with a second piece yet to be fitted just in front of this one. I want to take some pics with the canopy closed so the canopy jacks and associated bits that go at the side of the headrest on the rear bulkhead are not fitted yet to enable me to dry fit the canopy for the photos.Next stage is fitting the P.E. grilles . Heres a few pics , tony

The sharp angles on this one would lend it very nicely to "Digital Camo" I reckon Tony.

Well its finally done ! Its been a long time coming due to a fair bit of inactivity but i'm calling this finished. I took a few photos with the canopy placed in the closed position first ,before fixing it in the open position .The kit supplied ladder has been used along with a protective cover made from wine foil . At first I thought this ladder was a bit of artistic licence from Monogram but i managed to find pictures of the real thing being used , also showing the removeable red protective strip on the leading edge of the fuselage .The P.E. grilles were a task , attaching them without getting shiny glue marks on the dead matt paint or clogging up some of the tiny holes was a task . I finished up attaching them with a combination of matt black paint and johnsons Klear , the giving the whole airframe a further dusting with matt varnish. Heres some pics , i'll be putting a load more on a Completed thread.

Great build Tony. It's a very sinister looking beast.
