Hi all. A really slow model year, this is the only kit I've completed so far.

I've never built a car kit before and due to a motivational issue with modelling I decided to put aircraft to one side and give it a try. The ancient MPC kit, it's got more flash than kit parts and required a lot of old-school techniques. The only real positive for the kit were the decals, but as I wanted a road car more than a country racer, I only used the number plate decals.

Anyway here it is, warts and all

My favorite year Charger. Only thing missing is the HEMI plaque on the front fenders. Came up alongside one of these with my friend in his '68 Shelby GT500 Mustang back in the early '70s...the one two shift we were fender to fender, when they pulled third gear we saw nothing but Charger tail lights! Thanks for bringing back some of my youthful memories Joe. That is one sweet ride! Rick H.

Cheers Lee. It wasn't easy to mount the body onto the chassis, a sign on the kits age I guess.

Cheers Rick. Yeah the Charger was a pretty mean beast. All good so long as you didn't need to corner

Yeah I got spoiled building Tamiya models then went back to try building some old AMT cars and trucks what a nightmare.

Hi Joe,

I too love the oldies and this is a beaut. If you had painted her jet black, can you say "Bullit" with Steve McQueen??? You just need a '67 Mustang now Sir!!!

Prost
