Hi Chris
You've invested a lot of time and skill in this and it shows. Great work on the lights. The primer has gone on well.

Thanks Jim! The primer is my second go with vallejo and this time I thinned it roughly 60/40. It doesn't need thinning to go through the airbrush but I found that I was able to get a finer, more controllable delivery which made priming easier.

Just s note to say thanks to everyone for all the kind comments so far.

I decided I was going to pick out the heavily weathered surfaces in white primer, such as leading edges and control surfaces this time...

...and on the underside I painted the silver for the undercarriage and masked.

I went for a gun metal which I will drybrush and highlight with a bright silver, something i did on my Tamiya Spitfire and liked the effect.

On with the paint.

The effect is subtle and I like it.

This is also a bit of a landmark. Bar two tiny spots, none of the sky paint came off with the mask!

Next up is touch ups, details, varnish and decals.
