Right chaps back at the bench and a first go with pigments (thanks Steve for the excellent advice!!), also started to chip and rust the hull, think I need to tone down the rust streaks??

next the interior

now the question, have I over or under cooked the pigments?

also started to paint the tools, hence the strips of green paper

next up another first go at a exhaust, used pigments

thanks bob

Well done Bob!!! A wonderful first attempt at the pigments. I particularly like the floor. Once the wheels are on it will all come together nicely.

Yes I agree with Steve.
May I suggest some dirt on the floor, or have you not got that far yet ?
I was just thinking that after l looked at the hull sides that were really good .

Morning chaps

Thanks Steve, it looked terrible when i added the fixer but thankfully it sorted it self out!

Hi John, i have added some dark pigments in the edges and corners of the interior but might need to add more. Pleased with the results and the random effects and easy to use.

Morning Si and many thanks!! Wheels/tracks are on one side, other side is for money, almost finished, yippee

Bob,
Keep going, you will know when you are at the end, because you will hesitate with the pigments, that is the time to stop. Great build, keep it coming.
Cheers, Mike.

Thanks Mike, liked working with them, Steve Jones gave some excellent advice and also looked on YT

Hi Lee not sure about a masterpiece but kind of you to say.

I feel its a improvement over the last one but still have a long way to go

Your Marder is looking good Bob. :thumb2: With the streaks and wash in looks much better. Looking forward to the added pigments.

Cheers,
Richard

Great, oh I agree about the fixer, thought I'd messed one up once, but once dry it's ok .

Tracks and wheels on but not happy with the tracks, fitted and tried to paint in place. More work to do (camera never lies lol) but also added fresh mud on the front and back.

not pleased and will not try this method again

Hi John can see unpainted areas and need more mud to hide the mistakes, in the future I will add the tracks then remove to paints and weather, you learn by them you know

Bob,
the tracks don't look to bad at all, the unpainted bits can be picked out with a long bristle brush. The only thing I would do extra which you were probably going to do anyway is burnish the rims on the wheels as the paint would have been worn off by the guide horns on the links. The rest of the build is spot on mate with a great use of the pigments.

Hiya Bob,
Gotta agree that it looks pretty damn good to me, maybe just a few spots on the tracks that need touch up.
